Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £24,552 and £26,754 per annum (Pro-Rata) DOE and Qualifications, People’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 7 hours per week – 39 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Term/Part Time

About The Role
- Art & Design Technical Support – Provide essential technical support to facilitate effective delivery of Art and Design courses, enabling students to develop skills and achieve their full potential.
- Resource Preparation & Workshop Management – Prepare and manage materials, equipment and resources, ensuring they are safe, organised and ready for use in lessons and projects.
- Stock Control, Procurement & Equipment Maintenance – Monitor stock levels, manage purchases and maintain equipment, supporting efficient operations and informed resource planning.
- Technical Guidance & Learning Support – Offer technical advice to staff and students, supporting creative projects and ensuring resources meet individual learning requirements.
- Health & Safety, Organisation & Professional Practice – Conduct risk assessments, maintain safe working environments and support college events, while upholding safeguarding, EDI and health & safety standards.
About You
- Qualifications & Art Specialist Knowledge – Relevant professional qualifications with GCSE English and maths, supported by current experience in an Art department and strong knowledge of artistic techniques and processes.
- Technical Support & Resource Management – Experienced in preparing, maintaining and organising a wide range of art equipment and materials, supporting effective teaching, displays and exhibitions.
- Health, Safety & Workshop Compliance – Sound understanding of health & safety and COSHH requirements, ensuring safe working environments and proper handling of materials and equipment.
- Communication, Organisation & Teamwork – Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, able to manage workload, meet deadlines and build positive relationships with students, staff and stakeholders.
- Professional Values, Flexibility & Continuous Development – Committed to safeguarding, equality and continuous improvement, maintaining professionalism with a flexible approach to working across sites and adapting to changing demands.
