About This Role
We have an exciting development opportunity for the position of Head of Year 8.
You will be working alongside the current Head of Year 8 for the remainder of the 2 days per week.
This Head of Year role, with a TLR 2a of £1,410 per annum, complements the work of our Senior Leadership Team and other pastoral leaders.
You will encourage and embed a positive ethos through activities and relationships which enrich learning and reflect the whole School ethos, fostering a productive and healthy competitive atmosphere.

- Receive your Substantive salary plus a TLR 2a award of £1,410 per annum on 0.4 FTE.
This is a permanent, part‑time role advertised as a Job Share, and you will be completing 0.4 FTE of this position. The split of responsibilities will be confirmed by the school. As such, in the event of a job sharer leaving, the part‑time vacancy will be advertised following the normal recruitment procedure.
TLR Information: A TLR £1,410 has been determined as the appropriate rate for the role in line with the level of responsibilities outlined above. In accordance with School Teachers Pay Terms and Conditions Document, “a teacher cannot hold two TLRs concurrently (TLR 1 and 2). Where the successful candidate already holds an existing TLR, the TLR amount determined for this role will not automatically be awarded to the post holder (in addition to their existing TLR amount). The existing and additional role and level of responsibilities will be reviewed in line with the current TLR structure within the School/ Trust and may result in an alternative or no TLR amount being awarded.
