Christ the King Catholic Voluntary Academy are looking for an experienced, committed and driven Pastoral Support Worker to join our supportive and friendly team. This Part Time Job Share role is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the academic, social, and emotional development of our students within a welcoming school environment grounded in Catholic virtues.

Christ the King Catholic Voluntary Academy is a secondary school located in Nottingham, and is Ofsted-rated Good. We are part of Our Lady of Our Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, bringing together 36 Catholic primary and secondary schools in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

As Pastoral Assistant, You Will:

  • Work 17.5 hours per week, over 2.5 days.
  • Play a role in fostering students' well-being and academic success.
  • Work closely with Head of Year, senior leader, and external agencies.
  • Design and implement tailored support programmes to improve behaviour, attitudes, and engagement.
  • Develop one-to-one mentoring relationships and group interventions to support students' learning and personal development.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and families to address individual needs and enhance social and emotional well-being.
  • Assist with the smooth transition of students at key stages in their educational journey.
  • Maintain accurate records, including safeguarding-related actions, and uphold confidentiality in all interactions.
