We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Manager to join our Sales and Marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving new business targets for corporate membership, corporate education, and other corporate sales. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent sales skills and a strong understanding of CRM systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Maintain regular contact with corporate members and sponsors, manage their benefits, gather feedback, and address their needs and concerns promptly. Ensure all information and updates are correctly recorded in the CRM system.
- Membership Renewals: Manage membership renewals to minimize lapsed memberships and provide after-sales care to new corporate customers.
- Upselling Opportunities: Identify opportunities for upselling corporate education products and services, presenting tailored solutions to customers.
- Customer Engagement: Follow the BCI customer loop strategy to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction. Conduct regular checkups on customers to ensure they are making the most of their membership/sponsorship and gather their feedback.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the BD team to ensure seamless account management and support their efforts in acquiring new business. Collaborate with other departments (Accounts and Learning) to ensure clear communications and that all admin processes are followed correctly.
- Event Management: Process tickets for delegates attending BCI World Hybrid events.
Essential Skills:
- Proven sales skills and experience
- Solid understanding of CRM systems or similar
- Good customer service skills
- Confident telesales experience
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to meet and exceed targets
- Effective IT skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM
- Excellent attention to detail
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with the operational and business structures of a Membership Institute
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of people from different countries and at different levels of an organization

This is a full time position working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. This role is predominantly home-based with attendance at the office in Reading approximately once a week. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about sales and customer service, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to account management.
