We are looking for a talented and dedicated Head Chef to join The BBQ Hut team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in our charcoal-grilled offerings. Your expertise in grilling techniques and menu innovation will be essential as you create memorable dining experiences for our customers. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Expertly prepare and cook a range of charcoal-grilled dishes, ensuring the menu showcases traditional flavors with a modern twist.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring the quality and consistency of all dishes.
  • Train, supervise, and inspire kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Work closely with restaurant management to enhance service quality and maintain customer satisfaction through flavorful and innovative dishes.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of raw and cooked foods.
  • Create and prepare marinades for meats and vegetables, ensuring optimal seasoning and flavor development before cooking.
  • Utilize charcoal grills to prepare a variety of dishes, monitoring temperature and cooking times for perfection.
  • Collaborate with the management team to innovate and enhance the menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
  • Ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients used in cooking, maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Regularly clean and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure proper function and adherence to hygiene standards.
  • Maintain open communication with kitchen and service staff to coordinate meal preparation and timing effectively.

Previous experience as a Head Chef in a similar restaurant environment is preferred, with a strong understanding of grilling techniques and flavours. A creative approach to dish presentation, attention to detail in food preparation, and the ability to adapt to customer preferences and feedback are essential.

Qualifications: Any hotel management degree or diploma will be a plus.

Experience: 4 - 5 Years

Salary: £38,800 (Per Annum)
