Role Summary

BBC Studios is looking for a talented Producer to join an ambitious new factual series investigating environmental crime across the UK, a production that combines investigative journalism with compelling storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

Producing location filming, contributor interviews and evidence-led investigations.

Working closely with the Series Producer, editorial team and compliance to ensure stories are accurate, fair and legally robust.

Building relationships with local authorities, enforcement agencies, charities and members of the public.

Managing contributors throughout the production process with sensitivity and professionalism.

Writing scripts and shaping compelling stories from investigation through to final edit.

Required Experience

Proven experience producing factual, current affairs or consumer investigations for broadcast television and excellent journalistic instincts, with a track record of identifying and developing strong investigative stories.

Experience dealing with sensitive contributors and conducting robust editorial research.

Confidence working with legal, compliance and editorial policy requirements.

Experience producing complex location shoots, including filming with presenters and contributors.

Strong scripting and storytelling skills, with excellent editorial judgement.

The ability to work calmly under pressure and manage multiple stories simultaneously.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

A full UK driving licence is desirable.
