Purpose of the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for four pension co‑ordinators to join the BBC Pensions and Benefits Centre in Cardiff. The Pension and Benefits Centre provides in‑house administration services to the Trustee of the BBC Pension Scheme. Your role will be to provide first‑class administration services to Scheme members and BBC employees, responding to pension scheme enquiries by telephone, post or e‑mail.

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact
- Respond to enquiries from members and colleagues by post, e‑mail and telephone
- Follow established procedures to process members’ pension benefits including at retirement, on transfer and on death
- Support members accessing their benefit details online
- Monitor and manage own work volumes
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver against daily service level targets
Your Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria
- Prior experience of pension administration or working in a service centre environment
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; assured in dealing with the full range of current and former BBC employees via multiple communication channels
- Positive attitude and lives the BBC’s Values
- Confident managing own workload
Desirable but Not Required
- Understands how to work in a team to deliver effective services
- A flexible, willing and pragmatic approach to supporting the wider P&BC environment
- IT literate, with experience using standard office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to develop positive and productive working relationships
