We are looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Head of Department to lead our English department, based on our Secondary site, from either Easter or September 2026. The successful candidate will lead a team of experienced teachers and can inspire, encourage and lead through a combination of challenge, accountability and support; deliver exceptional learning experiences for all students; have leadership and management experience and proven outstanding classroom practice; be highly organised; be knowledgeable in using data to support students and have the ability to communicate effectively with clarity to the school community.
You will have high expectations, a commitment to raising standards, possess up-to-date knowledge and understanding of teaching and behaviour management strategies, with a passion to enhance the learning experience of all our students. Visits to the school are encouraged.
