The Garden Spa by L’Occitane at The Bath Priory Hotel, part of the Andrew Brownsword Group of hotels, is seeking a Part-Time Spa Therapist to join our established and professional spa team. Located just a short walk from Bath city centre, with a bus stop directly outside, The Bath Priory is an elegant Georgian country house hotel set within four acres of award-winning gardens. With 33 bedrooms and a long-standing reputation for excellence, we are proud to have held 5-star awards for over ten years.
The Garden Spa is the only Spa in the UK and Ireland to partner with L’Occitane, offering guests a truly distinctive spa experience. As a Spa Therapist, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality treatments and maintaining the calm, welcoming environment our guests expect. You will ensure each guest enjoys a relaxing and professional spa experience from arrival to departure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering a range of treatments including facials, massages, body treatments, manicures and pedicures.
- Advising guests on appropriate spa and retail products from our L’Occitane range.
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards across all spa and pool areas.
- Preparing treatment rooms to a consistently high standard, including sanitising equipment and replenishing supplies.
- Managing treatment timings effectively to ensure smooth guest flow and punctual appointments.
- Supporting opening and closing procedures within the spa.
- Supporting the spa reception team when required.
- Working collaboratively with the wider hotel team to uphold service standards.
About You
- Qualified to NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 Beauty Therapy (or equivalent).
- Professional, reliable and guest-focused.
- Comfortable working flexibly within a rota system.
- A team player with strong attention to detail.
Pay
Rate of pay £14.50 per hour. Monthly service charge, shared fairly across the hotel. Typically around £160 per month (approximately £2,000 per year) for full-time employees, in addition to base pay. 10% commission on retail. We have the option of either 24 or 32 hours per week available.
