We're looking for an exceptional Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support the leadership of our front‑of‑house operations across two distinctive dining outlets:

  • The Pantry Restaurant
  • relaxed, seasonal dining
  • The Priory Restaurant
  • fine dining for breakfast, afternoon tea, and celebratory dinners

You’ll also help oversee meetings and events operations, as well as room service, ensuring every guest experience is seamless and memorable.

This is a hands‑on role for someone passionate about outstanding food, fine wine, and delivering exceptional hospitality.

Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, Executive Chef, and senior management team, you’ll play an important role in shaping the guest journey while supporting and inspiring a high‑performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Become knowledgeable about our menus, wines, and beverages so you can confidently guide and advise guests.
  • Support the Food & Beverage Manager with the day‑to‑day operation of all food and beverage outlets.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and developing team members.
  • Help train and coach colleagues to deliver outstanding service standards.
  • Lead shifts and act as a role model, ensuring smooth service and a positive team culture.
  • Build strong relationships across departments and contribute to a collaborative working environment.
  • Ensure all guests receive a memorable and personalised experience.
  • Support meetings, events, and room service operations as required.
  • Work flexibly across departments when needed, embracing our "one team" approach.

  • Who We're Looking For
  • Previous management experience within quality food and beverage operations.
  • Experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining, Michelin‑recognised, or AA Rosette environments is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of food, wine, and service standards.
  • A hands‑on, lead‑from‑the‑front approach.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Ability to support multiple outlets while maintaining high service standards.
  • Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Bar and mixology knowledge is advantageous.
  • Someone who understands that great service is effortless, intuitive, and never stuffy.
