The successful applicant will be subject to DBS and health checks. We are currently offering an opportunity for a talented recruitment / personnel professional to join the academies as our Recruitment & Cover Coordinator on a 1-Year fixed contract.

Salary Range: Band 5 £35,089 - £41,435. (Actual starting salary £35,089 with annual performance-based increments)

Working weeks: 52 weeks

Working Hours: 37 hours per week (07:00 - 15:00 Mon-Thurs and 07:00 – 14:30 Fri)

Contract: 1 Year Fixed Contract (Maternity cover)

Supporting the Trust in its strategic ambitions, the Recruitment & Cover Coordinator will work closely with Senior Leaders, providing an efficient end-to-end recruitment and cover process, ensuring best practice in accordance with safer recruitment and employment law.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the internal and external recruitment for staffing in all roles including Premises, Support, Teaching, Middle Leaders and Senior Leaders for the trust.
  • Oversee and coordinate the end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, screening, scheduling, referencing and interview components to ensure a seamless process from initial contact to offer of employment.
  • Develop a sustainable recruiting strategy based on operational goals and needs.
  • Use multi-channel approach to recruit and build talent networks to find active and passive candidates, posting job adverts on traditional platforms as well as social media and attendance to career fairs.
  • Equality and diversity monitoring to promote a consistent and effective implementation of the Academies Equal Opportunities and Diversity policy and procedures.
  • Create and review job adverts, job descriptions, interview questions and assessments.
  • Scheduling and attending interviews as Safer Recruitment trained panel member.
  • Create new starter folders, ensuring relevant information is recorded in preparation for transfer to HR department and start candidates on-boarding process.
  • Create and implement first day induction for all new employees in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Be responsible for arranging cover for staff absence and its associated administration, ensuring efficient outcomes.
  • Building relationships with supply agencies, ensuring compliance and monitoring the quality of candidates through feedback.

The appointed Recruitment & Cover Coordinator will demonstrate experience in a similar role within a recruitment function and hold an appropriate professional qualification such as CIPD Level 3 equivalent or working towards this/or professional qualification.

We are two aspirational and ambitious Academies based in Essex, just 35 minutes from London. The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our students aged 11-14 whilst the Upper Academy specialises in our 14-19 year cohorts. The Academies are approximately 1 mile apart.
