We are currently looking to appoint a highly motivated and engaging Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team of support staff at The Basildon Academies.
- Salary Range: Band 4 FTE Β£31,176 - Β£34,469. Actual starting salary Β£26,739 with performance-based yearly increments available.
- Contract: Permanent
- Working weeks: 39 weeks (Term Time) and Parent/Open evening as required.
- Working Hours: 37 hours per week (08:00-16:00 Mon-Thurs and 08:00 β 15:30 Fri).
We are looking for colleagues who share the drive and passion necessary to ensure every student achieves their potential. The successfully appointed cover supervisor will deliver lessons for absent teaching colleagues, demonstrating the same level of professionalism and dedication as teaching staff.
In order to succeed in this role, you will be able to maintain a purposeful learning environment following the Academy behaviour curriculum, ensuring students are on task and the set work is completed.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Educated to Degree level and have 5 GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics
- Have a patient, encouraging and resilient demeanour
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, with clear and concise communication
- The ability to deliver lessons across a range of subjects following the work set by the class teacher
- Have a flexible βcan doβ attitude
- The self-confidence to support students in a classroom environment on your own
