Are you a qualified and experienced Nursery Manager full of energy, creativity and fresh ideas? Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge within a newly opened, recently registered OFSTED nursery? We are looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a brand-new, OFSTED-registered nursery in Farnworth, Bolton. This role is perfect for someone highly motivated and enthusiastic, who can work closely with Directors to guide staff and deliver a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children. You will build strong partnerships with parents and remain focused on delivering exceptional childcare standards. As a confident leader, you’ll inspire your team and support children through their early learning journey, helping them grow, develop and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and achieve outstanding childcare standards
- Lead, manage and support the staff team effectively
- Assist with staff recruitment, development and retention
- Oversee budgets and occupancy targets
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ or equivalent); BA (Hons) or EYP desirable
- Strong post‑qualification and supervisory experience
- Excellent understanding of the EYFS framework
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet targets and deadlines
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Experience working within larger nursery settings
- Proven experience meeting OFSTED standards
- Excellent leadership and team‑management skills
- Commitment to equality, inclusion and high‑quality childcare
- Passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- Reliable, punctual and committed
- Enhanced DBS check and registered on the update service
- Food hygiene certificate (preferred not necessary)
- Safeguarding certificate with a clear understanding of procedures to follow if circumstances deem necessary
Experience
- Nursery experience: minimum 5 years (preferred)
- Childcare experience: minimum 5 years (preferred)
