Shape the Future of Energy — Through People, Technology, and Change

A fast-growing energy business is seeking a visionary Director of Transformation & People to help steer its next chapter of growth and innovation. Operating at the heart of the UK and European energy markets, this company is redefining what it means to be flexible, reliable, and future-ready — with a portfolio that spans cutting-edge generation assets, battery storage, and major decarbonisation initiatives.

This is not your typical Transformation or HR leadership role. It’s a strategic, cross-functional position that blends people, technology, and transformation into one powerful mandate. You’ll be a key member of the executive team, working directly with the CEO to drive enterprise wide change, shape organisational design, drive integration, and leverage technology to embed a culture of performance and agility.

If you thrive in high-change environments, have a passion for digital enablement, and know how to align people strategy with business ambition — this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

What You’ll Lead

🔄 Transformation & Change

  • Drive enterprise-wide change, post-acquisition integration, and operating model redesign.
  • Lead cross-functional programmes that boost agility, scalability, and delivery.
  • Embed governance and performance frameworks that keep transformation on track.

👥 People & Organisation

  • Craft and execute a people strategy that supports growth, culture, and capability.
  • Lead succession planning, talent development, and workforce design.
  • Build scalable, tech-enabled systems and embed values into every employee touchpoint.

💻 Technology & Digital Enablement

  • Oversee systems strategy, including cybersecurity and infrastructure.
  • Champion AI, automation, and digital tools to enhance performance and experience.
  • Collaborate with tech leadership to prioritise investment in data and operational systems.

📈 Integration & Growth Enablement

  • Lead people and systems workstreams in M&A integration.
  • Drive alignment across teams and sites through structured change management.
  • Ensure new capabilities are rapidly enabled and embedded.

What Success Looks Like

  • Faster, sharper collaboration and delivery across the business.
  • A modern, engaging people agenda that attracts and retains top talent.
  • Seamless integration of acquisitions and scalable growth.
  • Tangible use of AI and digital tools to improve decision-making and performance.
  • A respected, commercially minded voice at the executive table.

Who You Are

Experience

  • Strategic transformation expertise, ideally with consulting roots.
  • Experience in asset-intensive, high-change sectors (e.g., energy, infrastructure).
  • Interest in people, talent, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Comfortable applying AI and digital platforms to business challenges.
  • Experience leading integration and complex change initiatives.

Attributes

  • Commercial, pragmatic, and action-oriented.
  • Strong judgment on people and leadership.
  • Trusted and credible at all levels.
  • Curious, adaptive, and forward-thinking.
  • Resilient in fast-paced, complex environments.

Why Join?

  • A senior, strategic role with real influence and visibility.
  • A dynamic company with bold ambitions and strong backing.
  • The chance to shape a next-generation energy business.
  • A culture that values smart thinking, fast action, and continuous improvement.
