We are looking for an energetic and experienced Events Supervisor to join our Food and Beverage team at The Barnsdale. Our hotel overlooks the beautiful Rutland landscape with a picturesque courtyard, with a kitchen brigade providing fine dining using many ingredients sourced from the wealth of fine produce found in the locality. Encircled by idyllic surroundings on the north shore of Rutland Water, the hotel is a tranquil rural haven, close to the charming market towns of Oakham and Uppingham.

This exciting role offers a dynamic opportunity to oversee the delivery of weddings, meetings, and events within The Barn and Hotel at The Barnsdale. Your focus will be ensuring an effective handover from sales to operations, inspire and lead your team to deliver exceptional event experiences. You will:

  • Have at least 1-2 years' experience in a premium food and beverage outlet, wedding or events venue.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of weddings, meetings, and events throughout the hotel and our dedicated events space, The Barn.
  • Work in partnership with sales to ensure there is clear and effective communication between departments.
  • Coordinate with guests and clients to understand their event requirements and ensure their vision is brought to life.
  • Manage event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and scheduling of team members and vendors.
  • Ensure delivery of events are to the highest service standards to achieve guest love and satisfaction.
  • Work in partnership with the Head of Food & Beverage, General Manager, and the Sales & Marketing team to optimise event offerings and drive revenue.
  • Actively participate and engage with all training and development opportunities for your role.
