The Barns at Delbury Hall are looking for a reliable and proactive Night Porter to ensure the smooth, safe, and professional running of the wedding venue overnight. This role is key to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, guest care, and security while supporting early-morning venue readiness for weddings and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out basic cleaning duties in venue spaces including restrooms, as required.
  • Set up and prepare event spaces for the following day's weddings, including moving furniture, laying out ceremony or reception rooms, and ensuring all areas meet venue standards.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to any fire alarms or emergency situations, ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and the venue at all times.
  • Report maintenance issues and carry out minor maintenance tasks when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and handover notes for the morning team.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in hospitality, events, or a similar night-based role is desirable.
  • Strong sense of responsibility with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
  • Friendly, professional manner with good communication skills.
  • Physically able to assist with room setups and manual handling tasks.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a calm approach under pressure.
  • Act as the first point of contact for overnight guests, responding to queries or issues in a calm and professional manner.
