The team behind The Barn at Pengelly in Cornwall are seeking an experienced Wedding Venue Manager to oversee the daily operations of a new wedding venue with on-site accommodation we are opening in Devon. We are a multi-award-winning wedding venue bringing our proven model to a brand new exclusive use venue just outside of Exeter towards Newton Abbot.
We are looking for a highly capable, self-driven Venue Manager to lead day to day operations, coordinate weddings, manage our supplier and client relationships, and build the foundations for a growing team.
- Coordinating all aspects of weddings from contract to day of delivery, ensuring every couple has an outstanding experience.
- Conducting showrounds for prospective couples, converting enquiries into bookings.
- Scheduling and overseeing our launch, open days and wedding fairs, managing all associated logistics.
- Managing event schedules and ensuring seamless operational delivery.
- Overseeing rotas for the housekeeping and bar teams.
- Ordering stock and managing inventory accurately.
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, including gathering public liability insurance certificates.
- Creating and posting content across social media channels to grow the venue's online presence.
As the business grows into 2027, you will take on increasing responsibility for building and leading a wider venue team.
A minimum of three years experience within the wedding industry, including experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
Comfortable with social media and able to create engaging content that reflects a premium brand aesthetic.
Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to remain calm under pressure on event days.
Hours: Full time, including weekends as required by the event schedule.
Start Date: Flexible but ideally from July onwards.
