As a Steel Fixer, you will play a crucial role in reinforcing and securing steel structures, ensuring the safety and stability of various construction projects. Responsibilities:
- Interpret and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Cut, bend, shape, and tie steel bars, mesh, and cables to reinforce concrete structures. Install steel rebar cages, beams, columns, and other steel components according to project requirements. Use hand and power tools to accurately position and secure steel reinforcements. Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as engineers and supervisors, to ensure project specifications are met. Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a safe working environment. Requirements: Previous experience as a Steel Fixer in the construction industry is essential. Must hold a valid CSCS Card (Blue Steel Fixing Card advantageous). Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and plans. Knowledge of different steel fixing techniques and methodologies. Familiarity with various hand and power tools used in steel fixing. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions. We offer competitive hourly rates of £23 per hour, commensurate with your skills and experience.
