Shifts: Four-on Four-off Days Only (07:00-19:00)

About the Role

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading building maintenance provider at a large commercial near Liverpool Street, London. You'll be part of a skilled engineering team, delivering planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical systems within a modern commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Shift Engineer

  • Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems and building services equipment.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Fault-finding and remedial repairs on HVAC, pumps, motors, and mechanical building services systems.
  • Work alongside electrical and building services teams as part of a multi-skilled maintenance operation.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and site documentation.

Requirements of the Mechanical Shift Engineer

  • City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in a commercial or critical building environment.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently on shift.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
