The Barbary, located in the heart of Covent Garden, is on the lookout for an experienced and enthusiastic Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. Sat up in the midst of the action at our kitchen counter, the atmosphere here remains at the forefront of London’s dining scene.
You will play a key role in developing our bread and dessert menu across The Barbary and The Barbary Next Door, so extensive experience working with both bread and pastry is a must. This is a hands-on production and development role, working 5 daytime shifts from 8am to 5pm. You will be in charge of the pastry section, from development to production, quality control, and ordering.
You will train our chefs on the pastry section to ensure consistently high standards when they cover the section, sharing your knowledge and best practices. Comfortable with admin duties and commercially minded, with a strong handle on kitchen financials. You will be responsible for costing of the pastry menu, ordering for the section and supporting the Head Chef with kitchen maintenance duties.
5 daytime shifts per week from 8am to 5pm, no doubles! You will have the opportunity to develop your career in an ambitious and award-winning restaurant group.
