Bringing the spirit of The Barbary to West London, The Barbary Notting Hill celebrates the elemental flavours and open-fire cooking of the Barbary Coast — from Southern Europe to Northern Africa — centred around our iconic horseshoe kitchen counter and vibrant dining room.
We are looking for a truly exceptional Senior Restaurant Manager — a seasoned hospitality professional, a real restaurateur. This is a role for someone who lives and breathes service. Someone who commands the floor, understands the rhythm of the room instinctively, and thrives in the theatre of a busy dining room.
The Role
As Senior Restaurant Manager, you will be a key part of the leadership team, working closely with the other Front-of-House managers and senior kitchen team to ensure excellence across every service. You will:
- Lead from the floor — visible, present, composed and in control.
- Run the room with energy and precision, understanding pace, flow and guest experience in real time.
- Coach and develop the FOH team, both in and out of service.
- Drive standards of hospitality that feel generous, warm and instinctive — never scripted.
- Take ownership of service execution, guest recovery and operational detail.
- Support the GM on financial performance, rota strategy, team development and compliance.
- Bring personality, humour and humanity to the leadership of the restaurant.
You’ll be:
- A highly experienced hospitality professional, ideally with several years running high-calibre dining rooms.
- A confident floor leader who commands respect without ego.
- Someone who thrives in high-energy, high-volume, high-standard environments.
- Deeply passionate about service — you notice everything.
- Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of profitability, labour control and targets.
- Experienced in coaching and developing teams.
- Have a strong background and interest in wine.
- Organised, strategic and proactive — but first and foremost, a natural host.
You should be equally comfortable inspiring a pre-service briefing, handling a VIP table, troubleshooting a service bottleneck, or mentoring your junior team.
Benefits
- Excellent opportunities for progression and development.
- Many of our teams move around the Studio Paskin group as they grow through their career with us.
- Balanced rota with a variety of daytime and evening shifts.
- Paid development courses – WSET, Watershed and more.
- Up to £2,000 Employee Referral Scheme.
- Generous staff discount of up to 50% across all Studio Paskin venues.
- Cost price wine and supplier discounts.
- Enhanced parental leave package.
- Emergency Cash via PayCaptain.
- Partnership with Kelly’s Cause and automatic enrolment onto Hospitality Action’s Employee Assistance Programme.
- Free staff meals and proper breaks.
