Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a policy framework to ensure all regulatory decision‑making policies, plus associated procedures, guidance and templates, are subject to a robust review cycle.
- Draft clear, accessible guidance documents to support policy implementation including standards and templates to be adopted to ensure uniformity, consistency and promote best practice at all times.
- Pro‑actively engage with operational teams and relevant stakeholders to identify policy gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Provide expert advice on operational policy interpretation and application.
- Support the Head of Information Management with strategic and operational planning within the Information Management Team.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience of quality assuring written material such as policies and guidance.
- Demonstrable experience of interpreting and applying a range of laws, regulations and guidelines to develop standards, procedures, policies or guidance in an operational environment.
- Ability to provide expert advice on operational policy interpretation and application.
- Experience of leading and motivating a team.
- Systems and IT literate (Microsoft Office 2000 – Word, Outlook & Excel).
- Operational experience of the data protection and freedom of information legislative frameworks.
