We’re seeking a future team member for the role of SMCR & Governance Manager to join our Investment Management Global Distribution team. This role is London based and is classified as flexible, whereby the role allows for some level of work from home on a routine basis.
In this role, you’ll make an impact by actively participating in strategic initiatives that have significant impact within the Investment Management Distribution business:
- Senior Management and Certification Regime (SMCR)
Administer the governance processes ensuring ongoing compliance with SMCR, including coordination of the annual Fitness & Probity (F&P) process, maintenance of the responsibilities map and handover policy.
Act as key point of contact for senior managers, certified employees and Compliance for any SMCR related queries, organisational changes assessment and registrations. - Governance and Business Administration
Support the administration of key governance committees (3-4) e.g. Executive Committee, including the establishment of meeting agenda, coordination of materials production, minutes taking and actions tracking.
Support ongoing maintenance of committee documentation such as terms of reference and fulfil requirements of BNY corporate governance policy requirements.
Support business administration activities such as the maintenance of inter-affiliate service level agreements with corporate functions or intra-group legal entities.
Support applicable regulatory or corporate governance fillings requirements.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Certificate in Company Secretarial & Share Registration Practice strongly preferred
- 6-8 years of experience in financial services or legal firm supporting financial services firm
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to positively challenge and influence others
- Eagerness to learn and develop one-self, and ability to think outside the box
