We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Fund/Client Accounting to join our Global Institutional Accounting team. This role is located in Manchester and sits within the Client Operations team in Global Institutional Accounting (GIA). The team partners with business, technology, and operational stakeholders to support client delivery, maintain strong controls, and drive process improvement. The Senior Specialist will lead key workstreams, support team capability, and contribute to the continued evolution of the GIA operating model.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support key workstreams and initiatives to deliver client outcomes, operational consistency, and the continued development of the GIA operating model.
  • Act as a point of contact for operational and business change teams on regulatory matters, helping ensure associated requirements are considered and embedded by design.
  • Review and strengthen the control framework, participating in audit, risk, and control reviews as required.
  • Review and update departmental policies and procedures, supporting accurate, compliant, and consistent work output.
  • Contribute to initiatives that standardise and streamline processes, driving efficiency, automation, and service improvement.
  • Develop and apply knowledge of client financial products, Bank digital tools, departmental procedures, internal stakeholder processes, and market developments.
  • Support team capability through coaching, training, onboarding, knowledge sharing, and guidance on project delivery.
  • Contribute to team goals by promoting collaboration, advocating innovative solutions, and supporting effective change delivery.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Financial industry knowledge is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience supporting, coaching, or training colleagues is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing demands.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across internal teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract, interpret, and critically evaluate data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel skills and experience using AI, automation, or digital tools to improve processes desirable.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on automation, transformation, and process efficiency.
