Overview
In this role you lead complex, multi-workstream delivery efforts aligned to BNY’s strategic pillars, ensuring on-time, within-scope, high-quality outcomes. You act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, embedding governance, controls, and continuous improvement across delivery teams. You partner with business, engineering, and functional leaders to translate strategy into executable roadmaps while balancing risk, client impact, and resources. You drive scalable, compliant delivery practices and foster a culture of transparency and accountability. Responsibilities
- Lead complex, multi-workstream delivery initiatives with clear scope, objectives, plans, and success metrics aligned to strategy and governance
- Establish and run delivery governance forums, reporting, risk/issue management, and decision paths for transparency and timely resolution
- Collaborate with senior leaders to translate strategic goals into executable roadmaps, sequencing work and balancing client impact, risk, and resources
- Mentor practitioners and promote continuous improvement to enhance predictability, quality, and efficiency
- Identify and mitigate delivery, operational, and regulatory risks, coordinating controls and alignment with policy frameworks
- Build influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating progress and issues with trust and client focus
Key requirements
- 12–15 years of experience in delivery or program management
- Advanced delivery and program management expertise (planning, governance, risk management, cross-functional coordination)
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with experience engaging senior leaders without direct authority
- Strategic and analytical thinking with ability to transform objectives into structured delivery plans and drive improvements
- Bachelor in Business, Engineering, or Finance; advanced project/program management certification preferred (e.g., PMP, PgMP, Agile/Scaled Agile)
