HELPING THE BAKER COLLECTIVE RUN LIKE CLOCKWORK
The Baker Collective is a group of inns and taverns, grown organically since 2003, shaped by brilliant teams, loyal guests, and the communities we are part of. With nearly 100 people across kitchens, front of house, housekeeping, and leadership, we exist to do one thing well: make people happy. We believe excellence should be consistent - in our places, our product, and with our people. Our leaders should be free to lead, to inspire, and to focus on what truly matters. This role makes that possible.
What this role is really about...
This is not a traditional admin job. This role is the engine room of the business. It is about creating clarity, calm, and consistency behind the scenes so everything else can shine. You will connect people, systems, information, and compliance — making sure the right things happen, at the right time, in the right way. You’ll be the person who quietly prevents chaos, spots issues early, and keeps the business running smoothly. If done well, most people won’t notice you — because nothing will feel stressful, rushed, or broken. That’s the magic.
Why this role really matters...
- Leaders can lead, not firefight
- Teams feel supported, informed, and confident
- Guests feel the difference, even if they can’t name it
- Growth becomes easier, not heavier
- The business runs with calm, not noise
You’ll be central to how we work, not on the edges of it.
This role is perfect for someone who…
- Is naturally organised and quietly brilliant at keeping things on track
- Likes systems, structure, and making things make sense
- Is calm under pressure and good at prioritising
- Cares about people, not just processes
- Notices what others miss
- Is digitally confident and curious
- Has high standards and holds themselves to them
This role is not for someone who…
- Wants a slow, repetitive admin job
- Avoids responsibility
- Struggles with detail
- Needs constant direction
- Panics when things get busy
What you’ll get
- A role that genuinely matters
- Trust and autonomy
- High standards, not micromanagement
- A leadership team that cares about people
- The chance to shape how the business runs
- Space to grow, improve, and evolve the role
What we offer in return...
- A friendly and supportive company culture in a beautiful location
- Hybrid working, flexi time available, 40-45 hours per week
- Training and personal development opportunities
- £35,000 - £38,500 per annum
- Statutory pension
- Perks benefits including: a £500 Team Voucher, 24/7 health and well-being program with 24/7 GP Support, purchasing food and drink at cost, a meal each day, your birthday off, 28 days holiday.
