We are looking for a dynamic, experienced facilitator to join our team, with a focus on finding a highly skilled practitioner, competent in delivering and adapting creative sessions for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. This is a full-time post worked Monday – Friday, 36 hours per week. You will be leading and co‑teaching in Baked Bean Charity performing and creative arts based sessions 5 days per week.

We particularly welcome applications at this time from those skilled in adapting drama, art, and music sessions for people with learning disabilities. You should be comfortable in the performing arts and using these as a foundation and tool for skill building in areas such as communication, confidence, coordination, and overall personal growth.

As an imaginative, committed facilitator you will lead inclusive and accessible sessions for people with learning disabilities who have complex support requirements. Applicants must bring proven experience supporting people with a wide range of care and behavioural needs. They must also be willing to support participants with all aspects of their care needs including medication, manual handling and personal care once appropriate training is received.

Experienced, passionate, and excited by the idea of using the arts as a catalyst for growth and connection – celebrating progress for individuals, and delivering exceptional care. You should be accomplished in creating safe, inclusive spaces where individuals can thrive.

Central to the role will be collaborating with, as well as taking direction from, the Complex Needs Project Coordinator to plan and deliver workshops. You will be expected to take a leading and autonomous role in the delivery of sessions, working closely with other existing Baked Bean Facilitators and Workshop Assistants to deliver safe, inclusive, exciting, and accessible activities for adults with learning disabilities.

Our clients have complex care and behavioural needs, and diverse communication styles. Through music, movement, drama, and art, you will help individuals develop life skills, strengthen wellbeing, and uncover and nurture your unique talents and interests.

You will also play a key role in the administration of the project, with tasks such as session planning, liaison with student networks, risk assessment, and report writing central to the responsibilities. You will also be expected to support with classroom setup/cleaning down and pack away of resources etc.
