An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Babraham Institute’s Engineering Team in the position of Operational Manager and Deputy Head of Engineering. The Operational Manager and Deputy Head of Engineering role is key in ensuring the Engineering department provides an efficient engineering function supporting The Babraham Institute, its buildings and infrastructure located on the Babraham Research Campus.
The post is within a small in-house maintenance team carrying out day to day remedial and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to maintain the institute's operations and compliance for all relevant regulations and legislation.
The successful candidate will hold a degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or similar. We are looking for someone with a broad knowledge of maintenance relating to mechanical & electrical engineering services as well as proven management skills. Specific training is a requirement within the post and is provided by the Institute. This role requires the successful candidate to be onsite.
