The AVOCADO Foundation is seeking a talented volunteer podcast producer to join our team of #WorldChangers on a mission to eradicate the economic inequalities experienced by under‑represented youth, non‑profits and entrepreneurs.
What you will be doing:
- Plan, record, edit, and produce podcast episodes across all AVOCADO Foundation podcast series.
- Conduct remote recording sessions using platforms such as Riverside.FM for both English and French recordings.
- Provide technical guidance to speakers to ensure clear, consistent audio quality.
- Schedule and manage recording sessions with speakers and contributors.
- Add intro/outro music and ensure each episode meets required duration and format standards.
- Upload and publish episodes across podcast platforms.
- Contribute to episode themes, discussion points, and storylines.
- Assist with writing scripts, show notes, and episode descriptions.
- Work closely with the French Translator & Voiceover contributor for French-language episodes.
- Review recordings for clarity, pacing, and consistency.
- Ensure English and French episodes meet the same audio quality standards.
- Test final mixes before release to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain organised audio files, archives, and production records.
- Track timelines to ensure episodes are produced and delivered on schedule.
- Recommend improvements to increase production efficiency and audio quality.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience using audio editing tools (Audacity, Adobe Audition, GarageBand, etc.).
- Ability to manage remote recording sessions.
- Knowledge of basic audio engineering (noise reduction, EQ, compression).
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Previous podcast production experience.
- Experience working with bilingual (English/French) content.
- Familiarity with podcast file formats, export standards, and hosting platforms.
- Experience in nonprofit, education, or media settings.
