The Role
We are seeking a proactive, deliveryāfocused Sales & Marketing Officer to drive earned income, trading activity, individual giving and AVOCADO Hub membership growth. This role is accountable for delivering clear conversion and revenue targets across: Friends of The AVOCADO Foundation (individual giving). You will turn interest into action, campaigns into income, and audiences into longāterm supporters and members. Targets and priorities will be phased and reviewed quarterly in line with organisational capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Income Generation ā Delivery, Memberships & Trading
- Deliver against agreed earnedāincome, trading, membership and individual giving targets.
- Drive recruitment, conversion and retention of AVOCADO Hub members, including individuals, founders and organisations.
- Support the development and promotion of trading activity (paid programmes, events, consultancy, digital products and services).
- Manage and progress leads, enquiries and supporter/member journeys to conversion and renewal.
- Maintain accurate pipelines for Hub memberships, Friends supporters, trading opportunities and sales leads within the organisation's CRM or tracking systems, ensuring data quality and GDPR compliance.
- Individual Giving & Supporter Growth (Friends of The AVOCADO Foundation)
- Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of individual donors and Friends members.
- Deliver digital campaigns to grow recurring giving and oneāoff donations.
- Work with Comms and Brand colleagues to develop compelling supporterāfocused messaging and callsātoāaction.
- Track engagement, retention and lifetime value for Friends supporters.
- Marketing & Campaign Delivery
- Deliver marketing activity aligned to income, membership and fundraising targets.
- Promote AVOCADO Hub memberships, programmes, events, trading offers and appeals across digital channels.
- Work closely with the Social & Digital Comms Officer to ensure campaigns are designed to convert, not just engage.
- Audience Growth & Performance Tracking
- Grow and segment priority audiences (members, donors, customers, participants and partners).
- Support email campaigns, landing pages and conversion journeys for memberships, Friends and trading offers.
- Track and report on key metrics including enquiries, conversions, membership signāups, renewals and income generated.
- Work closely with the Head of Fundraising & Communications to agree priorities and conversion strategies.
- Collaborate with Fundraising, Comms, Brand, Impact/Data and Programme teams to meet shared goals.
- Provide regular performance updates and identify opportunities to improve conversion, retention and supporter journeys.
Bonus / OTE
Up to 15% performanceārelated bonus, payable based on:
- Delivery against AVOCADO Hub membership sales and retention targets.
- Delivery against Friends of The AVOCADO Foundation growth targets.
- Delivery against trading and earnedāincome targets.
- Conversion rates, pipeline quality and campaign performance.
Working Conditions
This is a hybrid role based in the AVOCADO Foundation's London office as required, and from home. Regular attendance at meetings is expected. Evening and occasional weekend work will be required.

The Charity operates an entire shutdown each year in August and December and requires all employees to take annual leave to cover this period. This period is not in addition to annual leave entitlement, so employees need to retain sufficient annual leave to cover this period. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that sufficient annual leave entitlement remains each year.
