We are one of London’s leading youth charities and are seeking an experienced Treasurer and Director/Trustee to join our board. Working closely with the CEO and Financial Controller, this role will be central to ensuring the charity’s ongoing financial stability, resilience, and success.

In the role of Treasurer, your expertise and strategic leadership will be central to shaping robust financial planning, enabling the charity to thrive and ensuring we consistently provide outstanding care and transformative experiences for young people.

What are we looking for?

  • Experienced in financial management, budget planning and financial reporting at senior level.
  • Knowledge and experience of current financial practices relevant to charities.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to communicate clearly.
  • A commitment to the values and mission of The Avenues Youth Project.

Location: Hybrid (in London and remote)

Our board works in close partnership with senior management and youth workers, fostering a supportive and collaborative culture. Board members willingly share their expertise to strengthen the charity and improve outcomes for the young people we serve. As well as being a member of the board and trustee you will join the finance committee, which currently consists of 2 trustees, the CEO and the Financial Controller.
