The Avenue Nursery is looking for another fabulous full-time early years practitioner. We welcome applications from experienced practitioners, and in addition we may have flexibility to offer a part-time role, or bank cover role.
Our ideal candidates will have an excellent working knowledge of early years teaching through play over many years, will take great pride in their work, and will be a sociable and pro-active team player.
Our setting and team: We take pride in our smart high quality early years environment and high standards we maintain. We are a friendly and fun team - all qualified at Level 3+, and offer opportunities to progress qualifications while at work via our training provider. We have access to the countryside and town centre amenities on our doorstep, and have an open-plan inside space as well as sensory space, cosy library, craft/kitchen and garden. We are particularly proud of our 'good' Ofsted rating and report from June 2021, in which our SEN provision was cited as excellent.

The role: The main responsibilities of this role are to be an effective practitioner, ensuring the following:
- A nurturing and creative programme of activities, enabling every individual child to enjoy nursery and flourish
- Excellent communication and parent partnership
- Risk management, health and safety and adherence to policies and procedures
- Working together as a team to help children and colleagues to be happy and safe, and make great progress
- Using knowledge of the children and experience of early years to introduce inspiring 'learn through play' experiences
- Planning together as a team, ensuring all children’s individual care routines and needs are catered for
- Ensuring daily outdoors experiences for all
- Demonstrating excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Observing children and tracking progress, and supporting their next steps alongside parents
- Attending monthly training and room meetings
