This is the job: We’re looking for a Strategic Data Analyst to join our transformation team on a fixed-term basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and enjoys using data to shape new business opportunities. As a key member of a cross-functional team, you’ll deliver high-quality analytics, business modelling, and performance tracking to support agile decision-making. You’ll help evaluate test outcomes, build financial models, and contribute to the development of a compelling investment case for future scaling.
What will I be doing?
- Drive Data-Driven Decision Making: Design and deliver structured analytics to support a test-and-learn framework. Analyse results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to refine propositions, pricing, and customer engagement strategies.
- Build and Maintain Business Models: Develop robust financial and operational models to simulate scenarios and assess commercial viability.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Create and manage dashboards and KPI tracking tools to monitor key metrics such as customer demand, utilisation, conversion, and financial performance.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with colleagues in Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Technology to validate assumptions, share insights, and align on strategic priorities.
- Support Strategic Recommendations: Provide data-driven insights to inform investment decisions and long-term planning.
What do I need?
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data handling, interpretation, and visualisation across a broad spectrum of data analytics within innovation/scale-up environments.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R; experience with platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- A track record of producing accurate, high-quality outputs with attention to detail.
- Experience in business modelling and performance tracking in commercial or transformation contexts.
- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- Experience in agile or test-and-learn environments is a plus.
