SMR Maintenance Controller – Driving Service, Repair & Results

Location: Oldbury, residential working

Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 with occasional Saturday working

What You’ll Do:

  • Handle incoming service queries with clarity and technical confidence
  • Authorise repairs, manage costs, and push for compliance & efficiency
  • Collaborate across Operations, Finance, Sales, and Network teams
  • Influence process improvements and drive smart commercial decisions
  • Communicate service outcomes simply and effectively

What will I be doing?

Who You Are:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Experienced in service resolution and vehicle repair networks
  • A natural problem-solver and strong communicator
  • Able to analyse data, manage cost vs. margin, and adapt fast
  • Skilled in MS Office and confident navigating service legislation
