We’re building a dedicated AI capability, and we’re looking for passionate pioneers to shape what comes next. We’ve recently replatformed onto a modern data stack, unlocking access to one of the UK’s richest datasets from detailed vehicle fault histories to real-time connected car telemetry. Now, we’re turning that data into intelligent systems that keep Britain moving. This is your chance to be part of something new. Something exciting. Something that matters. Ready to join the AA+AI journey?
This is the job: We’re looking for a Product Owner – AI Productivity Tools to shape and evolve the AI tools that help our people work smarter every day. From ChatGPT-style assistants to AI embedded in collaboration platforms and coding copilots, you’ll own the end-to-end product experience for enterprise AI productivity tooling at the AA. Your focus will be on impact: making sure colleagues have access to AI tools that are safe, easy to use, and genuinely valuable in their day-to-day work. This is a high-visibility role, working across technology, security, data, HR and the wider business, and partnering closely with external vendors.
What will I be doing?
- Own the vision, roadmap and backlog for the AA’s AI productivity tools, ensuring they deliver meaningful value for colleagues and the organisation.
- Partner with internal technology, security, data and business teams to deliver AI tools that are safe, compliant and aligned to organisational standards.
- Act as the primary interface with AI vendors, shaping product direction and maximising value from tooling and licences.
- Lead the rollout of new AI tools and features, from pilot through to organisation-wide adoption.
- Drive adoption through training, enablement, communities of practice and clear, practical guidance.
- Use data, feedback and experimentation to measure impact, optimise usage and continuously improve the user experience.
What do I need?
- Strong experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager delivering digital or technology products.
- Exposure to AI or GenAI tools (such as ChatGPT or similar), with an understanding of enterprise use cases.
- Knowledge of modern collaboration or engineering toolsets (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, productivity suites).
- A proven ability to drive adoption and behaviour change for new tools or ways of working at scale.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence working across technical and non-technical teams.
- A data-informed mindset, comfortable using insights to prioritise work and measure impact.
We’re always looking to recognise and reward our employees for the work they do. As a valued member of The AA team, you’ll have access to a range of benefits including:
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays + holiday buying scheme.
- Worksave pension scheme with up to 7% employer contribution.
- Free AA breakdown membership from Day 1 plus 50% discount for family and friends.
- Discounts on AA products including car and home insurance.
- Employee discount scheme that gives you access to a car salary sacrifice scheme plus great discounts on healthcare, shopping, holidays and more.
- Company funded life assurance.
- Diverse learning and development opportunities to support you to progress in your career.
- Dedicated Employee Assistance Programme and a 24/7 remote GP service for you and your family.
Plus, so much more! We’re an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from everyone. The AA values diversity and the difference this brings to our culture and our customers. We actively seek people from diverse backgrounds to join us and become part of an inclusive company where you can be yourself, be empowered to be your best and feel like you truly belong.
