This is the job: We’re looking for a confident and commercially minded Product Owner to help shape and evolve customer self-service experiences across our digital channels. You’ll take ownership of a key product area, working closely with a dedicated delivery squad and a wide range of stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes for customers and the business. You’ll have the opportunity to work on enterprise-scale digital services that make a real difference to customers, with the autonomy to own your space and the support of a collaborative product community. What will I be doing?
- Own and manage a digital self-service product area across customer-facing channels, including app and web
- Lead and prioritise the product backlog, translating customer and business needs into clear, valuable outcomes
- Act as the subject-matter expert for your product area, providing direction and clarity to your delivery squad
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Digital, Technology and the wider business to shape roadmaps and priorities
- Monitor performance using agreed measures, using insight to drive continuous improvement
- Support delivery through agile ceremonies, testing, and go-live readiness
What do I need?
- Proven capability as a Product Owner, owning a backlog and working day-to-day with a delivery squad
- Strong experience delivering customer-facing digital products or platforms
- Confidence working independently, making prioritisation decisions and balancing multiple demands
- A customer-centred mindset, with a track record of reducing friction and improving self-service journeys
- Clear communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust
- Comfort working in agile environments, using product and backlog management tools
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with identity and access management or secure login journeys
- A technical background or strong technical understanding, enabling effective collaboration with engineers
