Salary: Guaranteed minimum c. £34,987 for CE (HGV 1) license, £31,615 for C (HGV 2) license. *This includes a location allowance* On Target Earnings: £42,120 for CE, £36,600 for C license
Shifts: Rolling roster, work 18 days out of every 28, with two full weekends off. Standard Shift Duration: 9 hours and 45 minutes, including a 45-minute break. Flexibility Required: While standard shifts are under 10 hours, end-of-shift flexibility is essential. You may be required to work up to 12 hours (including breaks) depending on operational needs.
Depot Postcode: CT15 7JW. To be eligible for this role you must live within 25 miles or 1 hour's travel from the depot.
As an HGV Recovery Driver, you’ll often work independently, but the moment you step out of your truck, you become a source of calm and confidence. With empathy and resilience, you’ll support members through stressful moments, using your technical expertise to recover vehicles safely and efficiently. Whether it’s transporting a vehicle to a garage or helping someone reach their destination, you’ll make a real difference in their day and their journey.

- Delivering exceptional service by safely recovering vehicles and reassuring customers during breakdowns, helping them get back on the road quickly.
- Working independently across varied locations and conditions, while remaining a valued part of a supportive team.
- Solving problems on the spot, using your technical skills and calm approach to handle a wide range of roadside situations.
- Staying solution-focused and compliant with EU Regulations.
- Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.
