In this role, you will build and develop a B2B SME reporting suite for the Road Product Management & Trading team, turning complex data into clear, actionable insight. Your work will help us better understand our SME customers and ensure we deliver products and services that truly meet their needs.
You’ll play a key role in shaping product and trading decisions by analysing customer behaviour, product performance and trading outcomes. By bringing evidence and insight to the table, you’ll help drive decisions that improve customer experience and support strong commercial performance. You’ll also enhance our existing reporting capability, creating more efficient ways for the wider team to access and use data. Ultimately, your insight will help ensure our SME customers receive consistently great outcomes.
What will I be doing?
- Supporting the Road Product and Trading teams by developing a reporting suite that enables effective management of B2B SME products and clear understanding of product performance.
- Assessing current reporting capabilities, identifying gaps and defining requirements with stakeholders across Product and Trading.
- Designing, developing and maintaining Power BI reporting solutions, including semantic models and dashboards, ensuring they are accurate, reliable and fit for purpose.
- Ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy through validation of data structures, logic checks and collaboration with the central data team.
- Building scalable, future-proof reporting solutions that can adapt to evolving business and customer needs.
- Creating high-quality user experiences through clear visual design, intuitive dashboards and adherence to internal Power BI standards.
- Developing KPI and performance tracking frameworks to highlight trends, risks and opportunities across customer, product and trading performance.
- Providing insight and analysis to support product development, trading decisions and improvements to SME customer outcomes.
- Measuring the impact of initiatives by evaluating customer outcomes and commercial performance to inform continuous improvement.
- Communicating insights clearly through presentations, workshops and engagement with stakeholders across the business.
What do I need?
- Proven experience delivering accurate, insightful reporting that supports product performance and trading decisions.
- Strong ability to design clear, user-friendly MI and reporting suites that enable teams to generate insights and recommendations.
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and experience manipulating and interpreting complex datasets.
- Experience using analytical and data tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, SAS, Power BI, Databricks and Microsoft Azure.
- Ability to translate business requirements into simple, effective reporting and data solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, working collaboratively to turn insight into actionable plans.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer outcomes and business performance.
- Clear communication skills, able to present complex analysis and insights in an accessible way.
