Hours: 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday
As our Vehicle Technician, you will provide a quality, professional and effective assessment of clients' vehicles against pre-specified criteria, offering advice within your area of competence and directing clients to the appropriate AA service or department when information or assistance is required.
What will I be doing?
- Contribute to the effective operation by providing a Mechanical Report to AA business customers/organisations.
- Carry out vehicle checks to a high standard on client sites against set criteria within established time frames.
- Ensure the optimum use of time and costs when undertaking diagnostic work.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge in automotive systems and ensure all equipment/tools are used efficiently and correctly.
- Maintain high standards of serviceability and cleanliness of all issued equipment, uniform and tooling; report any loss, theft or breakage to the line manager immediately.
What do I need?
Essential:- L2 City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics (or equivalent)
- Driving licence (car) with a maximum of 6 points
- Ability to travel to client sites (no company vehicle provided)
- Previous car inspection or appraisal work
- Previous MOT experience
