As a Pricing Analyst, you’ll have every opportunity to grow and develop your expertise. You’ll work on a diverse range of projects, from data engineering and visualisation to impact assessments and performance monitoring, giving you hands-on experience across the full analytical lifecycle. Alongside building your technical skills, you’ll play a key role in the business by working closely with stakeholders across a customer-focused organisation. You’ll bring data to life by identifying trends, sharing insights, and delivering clear, meaningful analysis through management reports and MI, helping to shape informed decisions at every level.
What will I be doing?
- Designing, building and delivering regular reporting to support understanding of customer behaviour and outcomes
- Communicating insights clearly through both verbal updates and written reports to enable strong decision-making
- Investigating performance, model evaluation and emerging trends within a fast-paced environment
- Identifying opportunities to enhance model performance through new data sources and analytical techniques
- Developing knowledge of predictive, forecasting and categorisation models using machine learning and cloud technologies
- Supporting pricing projects by applying best-practice analytical and modelling approaches
- Building robust and accurate datasets to ensure high-quality analysis and reliable outputs
- Collaborating with Financial Analysts to support lifetime value modelling and wider business insights
- Supporting testing and deployment of new rating structures alongside change teams
- Producing impact analysis and comprehensive test data to ensure successful implementation
What do I need?
- Proven experience in SQL, alongside at least one other programming language such as Python, PySpark, R or similar
- Experience working within cloud-based platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts, trends and performance metrics clearly
- Ability to work under pressure, using sound judgement to deliver accurate outputs within tight timescales
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience applying analytical techniques to address business challenges
- Ability to organise, interpret and enhance data to generate meaningful insights
- Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Understanding of statistical or predictive modelling techniques, with practical application desirable
- Degree-level education (or higher) in a numerical or analytical subject
- Demonstrated analytical experience, with ongoing application of these skills in a professional environment
