This is a senior, hands-on engineering role where you'll combine deep technical expertise with architectural influence to shape scalable, resilient and secure platforms.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams across architecture, security, DevOps and product, acting as a trusted technical leader. While this role does not include direct line management, it requires strong collaboration, mentorship and the ability to lead through expertise, driving high engineering standards and continuous improvement across the organisation.

You'll play a key role in shaping the future of our digital platforms, working on complex systems that directly impact customers and business performance. We offer a collaborative environment, opportunities to work with modern technologies, and the chance to make a real difference through engineering excellence.

What will I be doing?

  • Own end-to-end delivery and lifecycle management of applications and platforms (build, run, optimise)
  • Ensure platform stability, performance and resilience, including supporting complex production issues when needed
  • Lead technical design and contribute to architecture decisions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
  • Drive release governance, change management and continuous improvement in CI/CD and automation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable and compliant solutions
  • Mentor engineers and promote best practices across development and DevOps communities

What do I need?

  • Broad experience across multiple technologies, languages and platforms, with a strong generalist engineering mindset
  • Strong hands-on development experience across modern web, backend and cloud-based architectures
  • Experience working with technologies such as .NET, Node.js, TypeScript, relational databases, APIs (e.g. GraphQL) and modern front-end frameworks
  • Exposure to cloud environments (e.g. AWS) and DevOps practices including CI/CD, observability and automation
  • A collaborative, trustworthy team player who builds strong relationships and works effectively across disciplines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, challenge and translate business needs into technical solutions
