This is the job: At AA, we're transforming how we deliver change across the business, making this an exciting time to join our Portfolio Management Office as a Portfolio PMO Analyst. As we continue to evolve our operating model and embed new ways of working, you'll play a key role in supporting portfolio governance, financial oversight and assurance activities across a diverse portfolio of change initiatives.

This is an opportunity to join a high-profile team that is helping shape the future of portfolio delivery at AA. Whether you're producing insight for senior stakeholders, supporting governance activities or improving portfolio processes, you'll be empowered to make an impact while developing your PMO, governance and portfolio management expertise alongside experienced colleagues.

What will I be doing?

  • Supporting portfolio governance, assurance and financial management activities across a range of business change initiatives.
  • Producing accurate reporting, insights and portfolio metrics to support decision making by senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinating governance forums, maintaining actions and ensuring effective follow up of key decisions and outcomes.
  • Managing portfolio data, purchase order processes and financial tracking to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Supporting the adoption and continuous improvement of PMO processes, tools and ways of working, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Finance, Procurement and business stakeholders to drive consistency, control and continuous improvement.

What do I need?

  • Experience working in a PMO Analyst, PMO Coordinator or similar portfolio support role.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across different levels of the organisation.
  • Good understanding of project delivery governance and PMO processes, with exposure to programme or portfolio environments.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret data, alongside an understanding of Power BI reporting.
  • A proactive and organised approach, with the confidence to take ownership of tasks and drive them through to completion.
  • Knowledge of Agile ways of working and experience using Jira or similar project management tools would be advantageous.
