This is the job

You’ll lead the strategy and development of the AA's Insurance Broker product portfolio, covering Motor, Home and a range of additional insurance products. From shaping new propositions to enhancing existing products, you’ll play a key role in driving sustainable growth, delivering excellent customer outcomes and ensuring full FCA compliance. Leading the Broker Product Management team, you’ll work closely with colleagues across Compliance, Legal, Pricing, Trading, Change and Operations to deliver innovative, customer-focused products that meet both commercial and regulatory objectives. You’ll also represent the Insurance Division at key customer and conduct forums. A major focus of the role is championing fair value for customers. You’ll oversee product governance, lead annual product reviews and use insight and performance monitoring to continuously improve our products and customer outcomes.

What will I be doing?

  • Defining and delivering the Insurance product strategy and roadmap to support customer, commercial and regulatory objectives
  • Leading the ongoing development and optimisation of the AA's Insurance Broker product portfolio
  • Owning product fees, charges and add-on pricing strategies to deliver fair value and profitability
  • Monitoring product performance, customer outcomes and conduct metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Identifying risks, trends and opportunities and implementing effective, timely solutions
  • Making key product decisions balancing customer needs, commercial performance and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience and improve product performance
  • Managing product governance, conduct risk and FCA compliance across the Insurance Broker portfolio
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party partners to deliver shared objectives
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and senior leader within the Broker Extended Leadership Team

What do I need?

  • Proven experience leading Product Management teams within an FCA regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, pricing structures and fair value principles
  • Excellent commercial awareness supported by strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Deep knowledge of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty and customer outcome frameworks
  • Ability to balance customer outcomes, commercial performance and operational delivery
  • Confidence influencing stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives across complex environments
  • Track record of building, developing and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong governance and risk management capability with experience managing regulatory change
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to use data and insight to identify risks and opportunities
  • Resilient and collaborative leadership style with the flexibility to operate strategically and hands-on when needed
