Hours: 1 day per week (7.5 hours) – flexible, ideally with some evening availability. Scope for increasing hours. 1.2x overtime rates.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver observational assessments with children and young people (e.g., ADOS-2).
- Lead ADI-R / ACIA interviews remotely, acting as the lead clinician.
- Contribute to diagnostic decision-making through multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions.
- Provide feedback to families sensitively and clearly.
- Write comprehensive assessment reports, finalising conclusions.
- Maintain accurate records in line with professional and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the MDT to ensure high-quality, holistic assessments.
- Full administrative support provided – appointments scheduled and all information securely managed.
Whom We’re Looking For:
You are a compassionate and skilled clinician with experience in autism assessments and a commitment to family-centred care. You are confident working independently but also value collaborative input from your multidisciplinary colleagues. You bring a neuro-affirmative approach, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping individuals and families understand and navigate their neurodiversity.
Essential Requirements:
- Professional qualification and registration (e.g., Occupational Therapist, Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Nurse)
- At least 2 years’ experience in autism assessments for children and young people
- Experience of using and training ADOS-2, ADI-R, ACIA tools
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and ethical clinical practice
- Clear Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Knowledge of co-occurring conditions and differential diagnoses
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary working and NICE guidance
- Ability to adapt assessments for online delivery where appropriate
Desirable:
- Training and experience in ADHD assessment (e.g., DIVA-5 (adult & young))
- Flexible working, open to more hours at 1.2x overtime rate
