HOURS: 14:30 – 22:30 37.5 hours / week. Monday - Friday

PAY: £13.41 plus £4.00 daily shift bonus

JOB PURPOSE: The successful candidate will report to the Supervisor within the production area and will be responsible for supporting the Supervisor in continuously overseeing the efficient running of the department.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Inspect tools and equipment prior to commencement of the daily operation ensuring all are safe and undamaged in line with procedures, including completion of start-up check sheets.
  • Resolve routine equipment/setting issues.
  • Effectively supervise the production area in the successful achievement of the daily and weekly plans taking action on any issues.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed according to Standard Operating Procedures, including the safe operation of any relevant equipment or machinery by your team and yourself.
  • Ensure delivery of Operational KPI's for your area e.g. plan attainment, labour, waste, food safety and quality.
  • Identify any areas of improvement within your area.
  • Ensure that you and staff in your area observe relevant Health and Safety standards at all times, and stop/escalate any occasions of unsafe practice.
  • Ensure all process controls are strictly applied on a daily basis, relevant paperwork is completed accurately and any issues are passed to both the Technical Department and Supervisor / Shift Manager.
  • Support Customer visits and audits ensuring minimal non-conformity whilst ensuring that you and your team are able to competently demonstrate your role/responsibilities to an auditor.
  • Ensure that you and any staff under your control understand, follow and observe the company GMP processes, and cleaning processes, including allergen segregation and cleans.
  • Support positive employee engagement around general culture improvements by effective communication, and promoting trust and respect of all TAFC colleagues.
  • Welcome new starters to the team and ensure that all production staff receive relevant training in line with SOP’s.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Must have an excellent attendance record
  • Must be flexible with hours of work (i.e. early starts / late finishes)
  • Ability to organise both yourself and others
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the production team
  • Ability to solve problems
