Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering electrical engineering assignments ranging from desktop studies to discipline design through to full design lead roles.
- Electrical services designs, plus supporting the site delivery team as part of a wider Austin construction team.
- Working on several projects in parallel, leading and guiding the electrical engineers.
- Taking ownership of the electrical designs, delivering to an agreed programme.
- Interacting with a multidisciplinary team of in-house architects, engineers, and project managers.
- Working closely with the Director of Engineering to lead, expand and enhance the department’s capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Member of a professional engineering institution.
- Appropriate engineering degree.
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the building services industry in the UK.
- An interest in working on complex and challenging projects.
- Organisational skills and attention to detail – identify a problem, collect data, establish the facts, draw valid conclusions on the way forward, communicate to the team.
- Flexible and adaptable approach – the work is a mix of desk and occasional client meetings, site visits.
- Computer literate in MS Office software applications.
- Must be familiar with Relux, Amtech, Navisworks; Revit experience would be beneficial.
- Valid full UK driving licence.
