Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering mechanical HVAC engineering assignments ranging from desktop studies to discipline design.
  • HVAC and Public Health mechanical designs, plus supporting the site delivery as part of a wider Austin’s projects team.
  • Working on several projects in parallel, leading and guiding the mechanical engineers.
  • Taking ownership of the mechanical designs, delivering to an agreed programme.
  • Interacting with a multidisciplinary team of in-house architects, engineers, and project managers.
  • Working closely with the Head of Mechanical Section to expand and enhance the department’s capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Member of professional engineering institution.
  • Appropriate engineering degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the building services industry in the UK.
  • An interest in working on complex and challenging projects.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail – identify a problem, collect data, establish the facts, draw valid conclusions on the way forward, communicate to the team.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach – the work is a mix of desk and occasional client meetings, site visits.
  • Computer literate in MS Office software applications.
  • Must be familiar with Navisworks; Revit experience would be beneficial.
  • Valid full UK driving licence.
