Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering mechanical HVAC engineering assignments ranging from desktop studies to discipline design.
- HVAC and Public Health mechanical designs, plus supporting the site delivery as part of a wider Austin’s projects team.
- Working on several projects in parallel, leading and guiding the mechanical engineers.
- Taking ownership of the mechanical designs, delivering to an agreed programme.
- Interacting with a multidisciplinary team of in-house architects, engineers, and project managers.
- Working closely with the Head of Mechanical Section to expand and enhance the department’s capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Member of professional engineering institution.
- Appropriate engineering degree.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the building services industry in the UK.
- An interest in working on complex and challenging projects.
- Organisational skills and attention to detail – identify a problem, collect data, establish the facts, draw valid conclusions on the way forward, communicate to the team.
- Flexible and adaptable approach – the work is a mix of desk and occasional client meetings, site visits.
- Computer literate in MS Office software applications.
- Must be familiar with Navisworks; Revit experience would be beneficial.
- Valid full UK driving licence.
