Aurora Linemere is opening its doors in January 2027, and we're looking for a number of dedicated Teaching Assistants to help make this vision a reality. This is a rare opportunity to be part of something truly transformative. Aurora Linemere will be a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious school for children and young people aged 5–19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With a capacity of 96 students, our vision is to create a safe, enriching and aspirational environment where every learner can thrive.

The role: As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils' learning and wellbeing, ensuring every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential. You'll work closely with the Class Teacher and wider team to create a caring, safe and stimulating environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils with learning activities and reinforcing concepts taught by the teacher.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and adapting responses to meet individual needs.
  • Assisting with personal care, including hygiene, dressing and eating when required.
  • Encouraging independence and personal development.
  • Providing feedback on pupil progress, behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Helping prepare resources and contribute to lesson planning and evaluation.
