Aurora Brampton Valley School is opening its doors in late 2026 (tbc) and will be a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious school for children and young people aged 5β19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
With a capacity of 72 students, our vision is to create a safe, enriching and aspirational environment where every learner can thrive.
We are currently looking to recruit a School Cleaner provide a cleaning service for the school across all types of rooms, including offices, classrooms, corridors, and toilets.
Key
Duties: Vacuuming/cleaning floors.
Spot cleaning of spillages.
Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass.
Emptying and cleaning bins (daily).
Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds.
Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces.
Wiping, dusting, cobweb removal, polishing.
Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc (daily).
Undertake deep clean as and when required.
Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work and ensure the building is secure on exit.
Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time.
Like many SEN environments; your duties are likely to vary and therefore candidates will need to be flexible and be able to lend a hand whenever required.
Duties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required.

Skills and
Qualifications: Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate: Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulation in regard to cleaning equipment and cleaning materials.
Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the school team.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to prioritise work and be flexible.
